Saturday and Sunday mornings at Kirtan Fest Milwaukee begin with Yoga, guided by Milwaukee's own master yoga instructors. Classes are all levels, beginners are welcome and encouraged.

Ali considers herself a “yoga mutt,” embracing many styles of yoga, seeing the beauty and value in them all. She loves the flow and fluidity of vinyasa, the soft challenge in Yin, the heat of Ashtanga and the gentle reminders of proper alignment in Hatha. Ali is grateful for the many inspirations she has been granted on her journey, from teacher training to her current teachers and fellow students to nature.

Yoga has allowed Ali to uncover a greater sense of self, finding both humility and empowerment on the mat. Through yoga, she has become a happier and healthier person, which inspired her to complete yoga teacher training in November of 2010 at the Maui Yoga Shala.Yoga. To Ali, yoga means balance; harmonizing mind and body, work and pleasure, strength and flexibility, energy and calm. Ali’s classes offer a place to play (it's ok to laugh, it's just yoga!). They challenge you to uncover inner and outer strength and embrace the art of balance.

As a teacher, Ali finds herself becoming more open and receptive as a student, discovering a deeper practice and knowledge from yoga masters, fellow teachers, students, and you.

Tammy has been steeped the field of body mind awareness since 1999 when her yoga passion began. After 3 years of diligent yoga practice, she found and embraced the heart-centered approach of Anusara yoga. In her studies of Anusara, her already intense interest in the human body, movement, and structure were fueled. These passions lead her to the Rolf Institute in Boulder, CO where she received her certification in Rolfing Structural Integration in 2007. In 2010, Tammy began studying Peter Levine's Somatic Experiencing work in trauma and healing and has been weaving it into her work and play. These three tools of embodiment; Rolfing, Somatic Experiencing®, and yoga, have been integral in Tammy's personal growth. Finding such powerful tools to help in the process of falling in love with life and self, it was impossible to not learn and share.

Tammy’s yoga teaching is steeped in playfulness, exploration, and alignment of the whole person. Her clear language and individual approach allows each student to unfurl at their own pace. Creativity and investigation are always encouraged, with a goal to unveil the goodness, worthiness, and supreme nature of each student and every being.

Tammy currently is a co-teacher at YamaYoga Studio's 200 hour teacher training program. She fills her days with joyous work, walking her pooch, smooching her hubby, researching the depth of her heart, and the capacity of her own nervous system. Her curiosity is endless and continues her learnings and growings in Rolfing, yoga, life, and love.

A few years ago, Pati took Yoga Calm training for children. In the training she began to see the powerful effects of yoga - physically, socially, and mentally. Since the Yoga Calm training, Pati has delved into learning all she can about mindfulness and yoga. Pati has become a Certified Yoga Calm Teacher, a 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, completed Prenatal Yoga Training and Yoga Therapy, studied yoga in India and Thai Yoga Bodywork, both in the US and in Thailand. She is a Licensed Parent Educator and has been in the school districts for over 15 years. She currently teaches yoga calm techniques to public school teachers and staff members to use in their classrooms. Pati delights in working with children and adults by equipping them with tools that they can use to empower themselves.
